RV Campgrounds & Tent Camping
Located on the doorstep of the Cache River National Wildlife Refuge and Rex Hancock Wildlife Management Area, RV campgrounds in Woodruff County offer a basecamp for world-class hunting, birding, and serene river adventures. Primitive sites along water trails and in wildlife management areas for those seeking a true wilderness experience.
Rex Hancock/Black Swamp Wildlife Management Area Primitive camping is available in four designated areas. One of the largest and most-used camping areas is located at the end of “Float Road” east of Gregory. Camping is free, and RVs are allowed with no fee. No amenities.
Henry Gray/Hurricane Lake Wildlife Management Area: This WMA has 35 primitive campsites available to the public. The sites are marked by signs or blue paint. They are rustic with no modern amenities like running water or electricity.
Cache River National Wildlife Refuge: While the refuge is a major attraction, camping within it is primitive and dispersed. Visitors must pack in and pack out all supplies and waste. There are no designated campsites.
